Polish Defense Minister announces the deployment of 10000 soldiers to the Polish Belarus border Warsaw | Belarus | Poland
According to the Associated Press on August 10th, Polish Defense Minister Marius Bouashchak announced on August 10th that Poland plans to deploy 10000 soldiers in its border area with Belarus.
The report points out that Warsaw is very concerned about Wagner Group mercenaries and immigrants attempting to illegally cross the border within Belarus.
Bouvashchak said that ultimately 10000 Polish soldiers will be deployed to the border areas. He revealed this news during an interview with the national radio station. The day before, a Polish official announced that Poland would send an additional 2000 soldiers to the border areas in the next two weeks, thereby doubling the size of the military in the border areas.
These soldiers deployed to the border area of Poland and Belarus will reinforce the police and border defense forces there.

According to reports, Poland has been on guard for immigrants who have arrived at the Polish border from Belarus and attempted to illegally enter the country in the past two years. The governments of Poland and other NATO East Wing countries have accused Belarusian President Lukashenko of opening channels to immigrants as a "mixed war" aimed at creating instability in the West.
Poland is also very concerned about the Wagner Group soldiers who are currently being transferred to Belarus. After two Belarusian military helicopters briefly entered Polish airspace last week, these concerns have further intensified. The Warsaw side believes that this move is a deliberate provocation. However, the Belarusian government denies that helicopters entered Polish airspace.
The report points out that Poland plans to hold parliamentary elections on October 15th, and the conservative political party, the Law and Justice Party, which seeks to continue to rule, is doing its best to demonstrate that it places great importance on security issues.
Earlier this week, Belarus began conducting military exercises near the border area between Poland and Belarus. A NATO official said that NATO is monitoring the situation in Belarus, but does not believe there is currently a threat. The official said that NATO has significantly strengthened its defense capabilities in the east wing. "We believe that Wagner Group mercenaries do not pose a direct or imminent military threat to our allies, but we will remain vigilant.".
