In September 2016, the former Pinglu County Land and Resources Bureau approved the establishment of land improvement projects in 8 areas including Zhenggou Village, 6 townships, and 6 other townships in Pinglu County. The projects were implemented from September 2016 to December 2018, and were organized and accepted in the year of completion.
In 2022, the National Natural Resources Inspection found that the Land Development and Consolidation Center of Pinglu County violated regulations by applying for and implementing 34 plots of cultivated land that had been confirmed during the land change survey as uncultivated projects, resulting in a false increase of 148.9 acres of cultivated land. On April 14, 2023, the Ministry of Natural Resources issued a public notice on this issue.
The Yuncheng Municipal Government has instructed the Pinglu County Government to take the lead in organizing a special team composed of departments such as natural resources, agriculture and rural areas, and relevant townships to promote the rectification work by taking the following measures. Currently, the problem has been rectified in place.
The notice states that Shanxi Guoyuan Tiandi Real Estate Appraisal Co., Ltd., a land change investigation unit in 2013, has been prohibited from engaging in related business within Pinglu County.
At the same time, the supplementary cultivated land quota of 148.9 acres reported for this project will be deducted according to regulations.
In addition, the Pinglu County Commission for Discipline Inspection issued an internal warning to the former head of the Cadastral Investigation Unit of the Pinglu County Natural Resources Bureau, criticized and educated the former head of the Land Development and Consolidation Center, and ordered a written inspection.
