The senior management of the Hong Kong Police Force is undergoing personnel adjustments.
On August 15th, the website of the Hong Kong Police Force announced that the Deputy Director of Police, Zhou Yiming, will be transferred to the position of Deputy Director of Police, replacing Yuan Xujian, who is on leave before retirement; Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chen Junshen, has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police; The Assistant Director of Police, Chen Dong, will be promoted to Senior Assistant Director of Police and appointed as Director of Operations. The above transfer will take effect on August 16th.
According to the official resume, Zhou Yiming joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1995 as an inspector. He spends most of his time working on criminal investigations and intelligence gathering at the district, district, headquarters, and district levels. During his tenure at the Criminal Investigation Department, Zhou Yiming accumulated rich experience in criminal investigation and intelligence, as well as skills in formulating various criminal duty policies. During this period, he was seconded to the International Criminal Police Secretariat in Lyon, France from 2012 to 2013, serving as the Director of Criminal Intelligence.
In February 2020, Zhou Yiming was promoted to Assistant Director of the Police Force, taking over the position of Director of the Operations Department. In November of the same year, he took charge of the Personnel Department and took over as Assistant Director of the Police Force. In January 2021, Zhou Yiming was promoted to Senior Assistant Director of the Police Force and appointed as Director of Personnel and Training. He later took over as Director of Criminal and Security in August of the same year.

In April 2022, Zhou Yiming was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Police Force, marking his new appointment.
Chen Junshen, who succeeded Zhou Yiming as the Deputy Director of Police, joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1997 and has worked in various police fields, responsible for frontline command, criminal intelligence, professional training, and policy formulation.
After being promoted to Chief Superintendent in 2016, Chen Junshen successively served as Commander of the Central Police District and Deputy Commander of the Hong Kong Island Region. He was promoted to Assistant Director in February 2019, in charge of the Personnel Department, and was appointed as Assistant Director of the Police Force in November 2020. In April 2022, he was promoted to Senior Assistant Director of the Police Force and took over as Director of Operations.
After this adjustment, the three deputy directors of the Hong Kong Police Force are: Deputy Director of Police Zhou Yiming, Deputy Director of Police Chen Junshen, and Deputy Director of Police Jian Qien.
