At the National Conference on Ecological and Environmental Protection, General Secretary Xi Jinping profoundly expounded the five major relations that need to be dealt with in promoting the construction of ecological civilization on the new journey, which fully embodies the ideological method of Marxist materialism and dialectics. it is the further deepening of our party's understanding of the regularity of the construction of ecological civilization.

The Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China has drawn a grand blueprint for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way and comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese path to modernization, and made a major deployment of "promoting green development and promoting harmonious coexistence between man and nature". We should deeply realize that building a beautiful China is an important goal of building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, and promoting the harmonious coexistence of man and nature is an essential requirement of Chinese path to modernization. Ecological environment governance is a systematic project that requires comprehensive consideration of the complexity of environmental factors, the integrity of ecosystems, the continuity of natural geographic units, and the sustainability of economic and social development. A natural ecosystem is an organic living organism with objective laws of its own development and evolution, and has the ability to self regulate, self purify, and self recover. Our commitment to the "dual carbon" goal is certain and unshakable, but the path, methods, pace, and intensity to achieve this goal should and must be determined by ourselves and not influenced by others. The achievement of the "dual carbon" goal is a broad and profound transformation, and cannot be easily achieved. We must adhere to the principles of national coordination, prioritizing conservation, dual wheel drive, smooth internal and external communication, and risk prevention, handle the relationship between development and emission reduction, overall and local, long-term and short-term goals, government and market, and actively and prudently promote carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
