Linzhi, Xinhuanet, July 28 (Xinhua) Recently, the interview team of the "Our Homeland" network theme activity came to Linzhi City, Xizang Autonomous Region, visited a number of villages and towns on the spot, deeply understood the vivid story of Linzhi's development of economy through eco-tourism, characteristic planting and other ways to promote prosperity, and witnessed the continuous development of rural revitalization and the better days of ordinary people on the snow covered plateau.

Creating a sample of ecological prosperity and rural revitalization in the snowy plateau

Every March and April, peach blossoms bloom all over the mountains, attracting a continuous stream of tourists to Gala Village in Bayi District.

The total area of the peach forest in Gala Village is over 270 acres, with 1253 wild peach trees, earning it the reputation of "Peach Blossom Village". Since 2002, the village has successfully held 20 sessions of the Linzhi Peach Blossom Cultural Tourism Festival. In the first half of this year, Gala Village generated a revenue of 3.41 million yuan by hosting the Peach Blossom Culture Tourism Festival.

Gala Village has 33 households and a total of 149 villagers. In addition to the peach blossom tourism industry, the village also has orchard planting, sightseeing, and picking. In addition, a transportation convoy for farmers and herdsmen has been established. In 2022, the collective income of Gala Village was 12.06 million yuan, and the per capita disposable income reached 35900 yuan.

Villager Dawa Canjian is 39 years old this year. His orchard is planted with apples, peaches, plums, and chestnuts, as well as a large truck and a loader. In addition to the dividends from the Peach Blossom Festival, his family earned over 300000 yuan last year.

Dawa Jiancan said that in recent years, Gala Village has undergone significant changes. Previously, in order to create a beautiful countryside, the roads, walls, and houses in the village have been renovated. Since the construction of rural revitalization, the trails and observation platforms in the Taohuayuan Scenic Area have also been built.

"The number of tourists in Taohuayuan is increasing, and our income is also increasing," Dawa Jiancan said with a smile. He plans to also build homestays and receive more tourists in the future.

Nowadays, Gala Village has a blend of village scenery and embarked on the path of sustainable development relying on tourism resources. The villagers have fulfilled their dreams of becoming rich, and their days have become increasingly prosperous.

Flower and fruit economy, rural tourism drive employment and income increase for villagers

Entering the "Gongbu Flower Valley" located in Duodang Village, Bujiu Township, Bayi District, one's eyes lit up instantly. Some tourists shuttle around the blueberry plantation, picking and tasting at the same time, some come camping with their dogs, set up a tent, barbecue, and some come from the company to build a group, surrounded by a few tables of firewood pot chickens, feeling very comfortable.

The Gongbu Flower Valley Agricultural Tourism Ecological Park covers an area of 340 acres and is planted with high-altitude organic agricultural products such as roses, blueberries, and snow chrysanthemums. It is a new type of agricultural ecological industrial park that integrates rural tourism, agricultural product cultivation, and series product research and development, processing, and sales.

"Tourists can not only enjoy flowers and picking here, but also experience entertainment projects such as camping, parent-child amusement park, barbecue, etc." Li Lei, the person in charge of the Gongbu Flower Valley Agricultural Tourism Ecological Park, introduced, "In addition to paying the land rent of Duodang Village, the park has also hired many villagers to work here."

It is reported that local villagers can obtain rental income through land transfer and also work in the park, engaging in flower and fruit picking, catering and accommodation services, and other related work.

It is understood that as of the end of last year, Gongbu Huagu had paid more than 2.77 million yuan in land rent to Duodang Village, while also driving employment for 85 people in 21 households. At the same time, the park also regularly organizes technical training on cooking skills, interpretation skills, and management abilities, continuously improving the professional skills of local villagers.

"Next, we will continue to move towards establishing a rural tourism brand and achieving ecological empowerment for rural revitalization," Li Lei said confidently.

Promoting the cultivation of characteristic Ganoderma lucidum industry and promoting common prosperity

Walking into the experimental area of the Red Sun Technology Demonstration Family Farm in Xueka Village, Milin Town, Milin County, one can see rows of wild simulated forest mushrooms emerging from the ground, growing happily.

It is reported that the Red Sun Technology Demonstration Family Farm covers an area of 300 acres, integrating the breeding, planting, processing, and sales of Tibetan medicinal materials such as Ganoderma lucidum and Gastrodia elata. There are currently two standardized cultivation bases for Ganoderma lucidum and 190 greenhouses.

It is understood that the Red Sun Technology Demonstration Family Farm radiates 4 townships and 10 villages. Through unified provision of mushroom bags, unified training, unified technical guidance, and unified recycling, it drives surrounding villagers to develop characteristic Ganoderma industry and increase income and become prosperous. In 2022, the total output of dried Ganoderma lucidum on the farm reached 15000 kilograms, including other Tibetan medicinal materials, with a total output value of 7.85 million yuan. In addition to repurchasing the Lingzhi mushrooms planted by villagers, the farm also attracts nearby residents for employment and promotes income growth.
