The official WeChat account of Wulin Waizhuan has issued a statement accusing Zhejiang TV of infringing on the program "Our Inn". The full text is as follows:
Beijing Alliance Film Investment Co., Ltd. is the producer and copyright owner of the "Wulin Waizhuan" series of works, and Beijing Bilin Naier Cultural Technology Co., Ltd. is the exclusive commercial agent of the "Wulin Waizhuan" series of works. We hereby make the following statement regarding the intentional infringement of the copyright of "Wulin Waizhuan" by the program "Our Inn" on Zhejiang TV:
"Our Inn" is a variety show broadcasted by Zhejiang TV on January 6, 2023. Two days before the start of the show, Zhejiang TV staff contacted us and stated that the second episode of the show will be themed around the reunion of the production team of "Wulin Waizhuan", hoping to obtain authorization for the musical works of "Wulin Waizhuan". At this point, we have discovered that the trailer video for the first episode of "Our Inn", the subsequent main content, and the next episode trailer contain a large number of elements of "Wulin Waizhuan", including but not limited to the original play, the original play's worldview, scenes, character designs, costumes, music, etc., which clearly exceed the music authorization communicated by both parties. Therefore, we explicitly inform Zhejiang TV that its actions constitute infringement, and we do not agree to the online broadcast of any variety shows containing elements of "Wulin Waizhuan" without official authorization.

But Zhejiang TV completely ignored our infringement warning email and insisted on launching the variety show. This variety show, represented by the second episode, fully infringes on the copyright of "Wulin Waizhuan", including but not limited to the following aspects:
1. Repeatedly and extensively using the original TV series of "Wulin Waizhuan";
2. The guest's character design, makeup and hair styling, as well as clothing and props, are all fully copied from "Wulin Waizhuan";
3. The scene of the program fully reproduces the scene of "Tongfu Inn" in "Wulin Waizhuan", and uses core elements such as "Tongfu Inn plaque";

4. Multiple uses of music related to "Wulin Waizhuan" in the program;
5. Repeatedly using promotional materials such as "Memories of Killing", "Dreaming Back to Wulin", and "Killing Banquet" on social media platforms; The program has established multiple interactive topics on Sina Weibo, including guest names and character names from "Wulin Waizhuan", and has made it to the hot search.

Our further investigation found that the program "Our Inn" began using relevant characters and materials from the TV series "Wulin Waizhuan" as early as the investment promotion stage in September 2022, promoting the program as the "Wulin Waizhuan Variety Edition", increasing attention and endorsement for the program, and successfully achieving commercial cooperation with multiple brands, with sponsorship amounts exceeding 100 million yuan.

In fact, not only the program "Our Inn", but also Zhejiang TV has repeatedly used the copyright elements of "Wulin Waizhuan" for adaptations in variety shows such as "Ace vs. Ace" and "Youth Journey" without our authorization or permission. Zhejiang TV's infringement behavior this time is a typical repeated infringement.

In summary, we believe that obtaining relevant authorization before producing programs should be a basic practice norm and obligation in the broadcasting and television industry. As a well-known media organization in China, Zhejiang TV turns a blind eye to this and directly launches infringing programs without authorization, completely ignoring our legitimate rights and interests. Moreover, the misleading propaganda of Zhejiang TV objectively led the audience to believe that there was an authorization relationship between the program "Our Inn" and "Wulin Waizhuan". The program gained higher attention due to its attachment to the popularity of "Wulin Waizhuan", and thus obtained commercial benefits of over 100 million yuan. Zhejiang TV's such behavior constitutes intentional infringement and should bear corresponding legal responsibilities in accordance with the Copyright Law and the Anti Unfair Competition Law.

Now we require Zhejiang Satellite TV to immediately stop all infringements, admit the fact of infringement in Zhejiang Satellite TV's official website, official microblog, WeChat official account, Tiktok account and other public channels, apologize to us, and compensate us for all economic losses and reasonable expenses incurred as a result.
We reserve all procedural and substantive rights stipulated by law regarding the infringement of Zhejiang TV, and hereby declare.
