In order to ensure the security of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games, it has been decided to carry out the "Clear Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games Network Environment Improvement" special action from August 28th to October 29th. The special action will revolve around the event and focus on rectifying the following 8 prominent issues:
Spreading false information related to the Asian Games and Paralympics, as well as public policies and social welfare in related areas, fabricating rumors that may cause panic, such as disasters, illegal crimes, and food product quality issues, especially those who continue to spread rumors after authoritative debunking information is released.
One sided and distorted dissemination of information on sudden events, impersonating the identity of the parties or relevant personnel to speak out, and linking and stirring up old news and events; Publish text, images, audio and video about discrimination against people, ethnic groups, and regions, incite group opposition, and maliciously damage the image of the host and co host cities and related areas.
Unauthorized dissemination of Asian Games event programs online and provision of stolen broadcast links; Infringement and piracy information related to the image symbols and artistic works of the Asian Games mascot "Jiangnan Memory", the Asian Paralympic Games mascot "Feifei", the emblem, etc.
Carrying out Internet news information service activities without permission; Using generative artificial intelligence technology to produce and publish fake match videos.
Using the same or similar names, domain names, logos, pages, etc. to counterfeit websites, mobile applications, fast apps, mini programs of the Asian Games and the Asian Para Games; Counterfeiting and impersonating relevant regional official institutions, news media, etc. in account names, avatars, introductions, live streaming rooms, or short video backgrounds.
Organizing "human flesh searches" to intentionally leak personal privacy information of athletes, referees, coaches, and other individuals, inducing online violence; Concentrate on publishing illegal information such as insults, defamation, verbal abuse, and other harmful information to relevant personnel, endangering the physical and mental health of others.
Inducing minors to become addicted to online games and excessive online consumption through relevant competitions, inciting fan groups such as participating athletes and coaches to engage in verbal abuse, engage in competition, control the number of reviews, and support rankings, etc., excessively entertaining and fandom oriented coverage of the events, and damaging the overall online public opinion atmosphere of the events.
Engaging in illegal marketing activities by publishing information on product promotion and service solicitation under the guise of sports events; The act of illegally collecting personal privacy, personal identification documents, biometric information, and other activities that infringe upon legitimate rights and interests.
Local Internet Information Offices and Copyright Bureaus should improve their political stance, carry out special rectification work in accordance with their responsibilities, supervise local website platforms to strictly fulfill their main responsibilities, strengthen investigation and disposal, and punish website platforms that fail to implement their work in accordance with laws and regulations. To facilitate online reporting channels, special action reporting zones should be established on various levels of online reporting platforms, and key website platforms should be organized to set up reporting entrances in prominent locations.
