On June 8th local time, former US President Donald Trump posted on his own social media that the Biden administration has notified his lawyer that he has been prosecuted in a "confidential document" investigation.
Trump wrote that he was summoned to appear in Miami Federal Court on the 13th.
Trump said, "I never thought such a thing would happen to the former president of the United States!"
In August 2022, the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a search of Trump's residence at Sealake Estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Investigators took 33 items from the estate, including some documents marked as "top secret.". Afterwards, the US Department of Justice continued to investigate the matter.
