New storage capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters! The largest single oil storage area in coastal ports across the country has been fully completed and put into operation
On August 23rd, the Dongjiakou Crude Oil Commercial Reserve at Qingdao Port was completed and put into operation. At this point, a total of 5.2 million cubic meters of crude oil storage tanks and supporting facilities have been completed and put into operation for the first, second, and third phases of the crude oil commercial reserve in Dongjiakou Port Area. The largest single capacity oil storage area in coastal ports in China has all shifted from engineering construction to production and operation.
It is reported that the total storage capacity of the Dongjiakou Port crude oil commercial reserve project is 5.2 million cubic meters, with a total investment of over 4.9 billion yuan. It is divided into three phases of construction. The first phase involves the construction of 16 100000 cubic meter floating roof oil tanks, as well as supporting production facilities such as process pump rooms and substations. The second phase involves the construction of 24 100000 cubic meter floating roof oil tanks. The first and second phases were put into operation on December 3, 2021 and November 26, 2022, respectively. Since their completion, the first and second phases have completed a total turnover of 79.814 million tons. The third phase of the project, which is put into operation, includes a total of 12 100000 cubic meter floating roof oil tanks, along with the construction of 1 fire pump room and 2 equipment rooms, with an additional storage capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters.

It is understood that the third phase of the project, which has been put into operation, is interconnected with the completed and put into use storage area of Dongjiakou Port, jointly forming a group of crude oil tanks with a total storage capacity of 11.06 million cubic meters. Through organic connection with the four super large berths of Dongjiakou Port's crude oil terminals, the first and second phases, as well as the Dongjiakou Weifang Luzhong Lubei crude oil long-distance pipeline, under the integrated operation and management mode, it has efficient receiving and transportation capabilities. After the project is put into operation, it will further enhance the oil storage and transportation capacity of Dongjiakou Port, consolidate Qingdao Port's position as a national crude oil import port, and provide strong guarantees for the supply of crude oil, fuel oil, diluted asphalt and other raw materials to petrochemical enterprises in the hinterland. This will improve the oil production of Qingdao Port. The layout and structure are of great significance in effectively resisting the impact of the international oil market, ensuring the stable operation of Shandong's refining industry, serving the high-quality development of regional economy, and promoting the integration of port, industry, and city development.
