Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 1 (Xinhua) -- On July 1, China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. learned that China National Railway Group has organized performance verification tests on new technology components of high-speed trains in the Fuqing Quanzhou section of the Fuzhou Xiamen high-speed railway. The test train reached a maximum operating speed of 453 kilometers per hour, marking new progress in the development of the new generation of CR450 high-speed trains.

It is understood that under the organization of China Railway Group, on June 28th, the test train achieved a maximum speed of 453 kilometers per hour for a single train and a maximum speed of 891 kilometers per hour for two trains intersecting in both directions at the Meizhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge; On June 29th, at the Haiwei Tunnel, the test train achieved a maximum speed of 420 kilometers per hour for a single train and 840 kilometers per hour for a two-way intersection of two trains. The performance of the new technology components was effectively verified, and all indicators performed well, laying a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the CR450 Technology Innovation Project.

The person in charge of the Science and Information Technology Department of China Railway Group introduced that the "CR450 Science and Technology Innovation Project" is a major scientific research project determined by the 14th Five Year Plan of the country, including the development of new products for the Fuxing high-speed train and multiple high-speed rail science and technology innovation projects.
This performance verification test was jointly carried out by relevant units of the Railway Science and Technology Innovation Alliance organized by China Railway Group, China Academy of Railway Sciences Group Co., Ltd., CRRC affiliated enterprises, Beijing Jiaotong University, Southwest Jiaotong University, Central South University, etc. 57 scientific research tests were carried out to verify the technical feasibility and performance stability of the new technology components of the CR450 high-speed train.
On June 28th, at the Meizhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge, the test train ran at a single speed of 453 kilometers per hour. Shen Jizhong
The person in charge pointed out that since the start of the experiment, all work has progressed smoothly and data characteristics of new technology components have been obtained under different speed conditions and different working conditions such as bridges, tunnels, and curves. Performance verification tests under higher operating conditions have shown that the application of new technologies has achieved new improvements in the relevant indicators of high-speed trains. Important indicators such as safety, power, energy consumption, vibration, acceleration performance, and braking stability of high-speed trains continue to lead, providing strong support for the development of CR450 high-speed trains with higher speeds, safer, more environmentally friendly, and more intelligent capabilities. This is of great significance for achieving high-level technological self-reliance and self-improvement in railways.
