After more than 200 days of ice sealing, the water surface of Tianchi Lake in Changbai Mountain has just begun to break through and melt. Compared to the dryness and heat in the city, the comfortable "coolness" here has precisely given rise to the "heat" of tourism.
The ice layer on the lake surface gradually thins, breaks, and melts as the temperature rises, and the lake water also shows a blue face. "It's really beautiful! Changbai Mountain has always been my dream check-in spot, with fresh air and magnificent scenery, making this trip worthwhile," said Li Zimeng, a tourist from Nanjing.
Changbai Mountain is one of the top ten famous mountains in China. Every December, the volcanic crater lake Tianchi here enters an ice capped period, with a minimum temperature of minus 44 degrees Celsius, until the ice opens around mid June of the following year, with an ice opening period of nearly two weeks. With the opening of Tianchi Lake, Changbai Mountain has also ushered in a summer tourism peak.
