According to data, the total automobile production in Chongqing in 2022 was 2.092 million units, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%. Among them, the production of new energy vehicles reached 365000 units, a year-on-year increase of 140%; The automobile manufacturing industry achieved an output value of 45.1.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%.

Entering the Selis Automobile Liangjiang Smart Factory, in the tens of thousands of square meters of workshop, one can see the robotic arm waving back and forth, and pieces of car component modules are being produced from the workshop. With less than 60 workers operating the robots, all assembly can be completed.
Recently, the first batch of 7 intelligent connected autonomous driving new energy vehicles in Chongqing have been smoothly tested in the demonstration section of the Chongqing High tech Zone in the Western Science City, including buses and minibuses that can autonomously turn and change lanes, unmanned cleaning vehicles with planned routes and obstacle avoidance functions, and unmanned vending vehicles that can achieve autonomous driving.
With the rapid development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles in recent years, Chongqing is accelerating the transformation of the automotive industry towards intelligence and new energy. In Yubei District, the Chang'an New Energy Factory with an annual output of 280000 pure electric vehicles is about to be built, and the output value of supporting enterprises for intelligent connected new energy vehicles on the scale will exceed 13 billion yuan; There are currently 43 intelligent connected new energy vehicle supporting enterprises and 8 automotive software enterprises in Nan'an District, with a production value of 10.62 billion yuan for large-scale automotive supporting enterprises in 2022; In the Western Science City, more than 40 intelligent connected vehicle and new energy vehicle industry related enterprises have gathered, and the entire industry chain ecosystem has been preliminarily established.
It is reported that since 2023, the contribution rate of new energy vehicles to the growth of the automotive industry in Chongqing has reached 85%.

Not long ago, Guangzhou Juwan Technology Research Co., Ltd. laid out its layout in Jiangjin District, and the Chongqing base project for high-speed charging batteries with a total investment of 7.2 billion yuan officially landed in Luohuang Lingang Industrial City, Jiangjin District. The maximum charging efficiency of the self-developed high-speed battery by Juwan Technology can reach more than 6 times that of ordinary batteries, bringing consumers a new experience of "charging as fast as refueling".
In April of this year, Chongqing issued the "Action Plan for Doubling the Development of Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Parts Industry in Yuxi Region", which proposed that Yuxi region focus on developing 12 assemblies such as electric drive, intelligent cockpit, chassis, as well as 56 components such as battery cells, high-precision maps, and intelligent headlights. At that time, the western region of Chongqing will become an important support for the development of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle parts industry in Chongqing.
With a large number of supporting projects landing, in the first half of this year, Chongqing's intelligent connected new energy vehicle parts industry attracted 224 investment projects, a year-on-year increase of 153.5%; The construction of Ganfeng new lithium batteries, Chang'an wire controlled chassis, Qingshan electric drive system, Wencan lightweight integrated body and other projects has been progressing in a timely manner, driving the city's automotive industry to achieve a year-on-year increase of 33.2% in investment.

Based on centimeter level high-precision maps, it can complete logistics tasks in complex environments within the park through artificial intelligence control algorithms.
Now, the entire process of "warehousing, transportation, and delivery" between Feilida Company and Xushuo Technology has basically been intelligentized, unmanned, and integrated, reducing direct labor costs by 25%, optimizing shipping efficiency by 15%, and reducing failure rate by 20%.
Nowadays, in the national leading area of the Internet of Vehicles in Chongqing, more than 730 kilometers of vehicle road collaborative roads have been renovated in both directions, focusing on building six major application scenarios and more than 30 functional scenarios based on "vehicle road collaboration".

Currently, it has achieved two-way road testing and demonstration operation for a total area of 1576 square kilometers and 1385 kilometers, accounting for 75% of the total open testing road network in the city.
The preliminary trial work has shown significant results, with multiple flowering points in Chongqing. Yubei District has successfully established the Chongqing Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Characteristic Industrial Park, striving to build the characteristic industrial park into an automotive software and hardware industry base by 2025; In Chongqing High tech Zone, China Merchants Inspection Vehicle Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. has nearly a hundred virtual simulation testing systems and other testing equipment, and manages an open testing road for autonomous driving of up to 1500 kilometers.
At present, in Chongqing, the national level vehicle networking pilot zone has comprehensively achieved the large-scale demonstration application of intelligent networking in Chongqing by building smart roads, building powerful clouds, connecting information networks, providing accurate maps, and driving smart cars.
Accelerate and improve infrastructure construction
While the number of new energy vehicles continues to expand, the demand for charging infrastructure is also constantly increasing. In recent years, Chongqing has accelerated the construction of charging, swapping, and hydrogenation infrastructure, promoted the integration and co construction of charging, swapping, and hydrogenation comprehensive energy stations with new retail formats, promoted the integration and data exchange of energy networks, transportation networks, and information network platforms, and formed a widely interconnected, open and shared intelligent networked new energy vehicle infrastructure system.
In Yubei District, "Bianjiao Di" has transformed into a "Yukuai Dian" comprehensive service station, where citizens can experience charging services in a one-stop manner; 267 public charging piles have been built and put into use in Nanchuan District, and 1481 public charging piles are planned to be built by 2025; In the third phase of Shimao Maoyue Mansion in Liangjiang New Area, State Grid Chongqing North Power Supply Company has combined the distribution of parking spaces and the construction of power supply and distribution facilities in the community to achieve "no inspection" for installation, and to apply for electricity upon installation, truly achieving "vehicle to electricity connection".

In order to better support the high-quality development of the intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry, the Chongqing Central Urban Charging and Exchange Infrastructure Special Plan was recently released, which will add 1340 public fast charging stations and 298000 self use charging piles in the central urban area.
At present, the total number of charging stations in the city exceeds 150000, and the basic coverage of public charging infrastructure throughout the city has been achieved; The coverage rate of fast charging networks on highways reaches 83%. Chongqing actively creates a national demonstration city for hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, builds 6 hydrogen refueling stations, and promotes a total of 266 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
