"Out of the 10 foreign durians you have eaten, 7 are imported from us," said Nong Feipiao, a logistics monitoring officer at the Friendship Customs Port in Pingxiang, Guangxi. The commitment of Friendship Customs is to ensure that normal imported durians do not stay at the port for more than 24 hours.
On July 17th at 15:30, a Vietnamese cold chain transport vehicle loaded with durians arrived at the Friendship Customs port, swiping cards, docking on the platform, and conducting inspections... The vehicle that hit the inspection site could leave the port in less than half a day after passing the customs inspection without any abnormalities; Vehicles that have not been hit and verified can clear customs faster, usually only taking two minutes. Within the customs monitoring and command center, under the dispatch of several staff members, the daily traffic volume of vehicles at the Friendship Customs port reached 1200 times in an orderly manner, thanks to their "magic weapon" - the smart logistics control platform.
"Before the launch of the smart logistics control platform, our staff need to patrol and guard at various nodes that may experience congestion for a long time. In case of any unexpected situation at each node, the staff need to detect and handle it, which is very inefficient." Nong Feipiao said, "If the sudden situation cannot be dealt with in a timely manner, there may be vehicle congestion.". And if the fresh agricultural products of these ASEAN countries are delayed here for an extra day, it may cause losses of tens of thousands of yuan to enterprises.
As the most convenient land port to Vietnam and even ASEAN countries, the Friendship Pass Port is the preferred channel for ASEAN fruits to enter China. Every year, half of the ASEAN fruits imported into China come from here. In order to improve the convenience level of port clearance, the smart logistics control platform was launched and put into operation on May 31, 2021.
Nongfaipiao introduced that the platform has established a warning mechanism and a Sino Vietnamese information officer mechanism, which reports port data to each other daily. Through the system, the data is analyzed and analyzed. If the number of vehicles waiting for import and export exceeds the warning value every day, the system will issue a warning, and the customs will take measures such as cross departmental manpower transfer and extended operation time to prevent congestion.

It is understood that the platform also relies on Beidou positioning and video monitoring to achieve precise control of 13 stages of cross-border vehicle clearance at ports. The platform can simulate the real-time status of vehicles, automatically alarm for abnormal situations such as long stay time, and staff can timely analyze and handle them quickly, greatly improving the efficiency of abnormal disposal.
The application of intelligent regulatory systems not only releases regulatory resources, but also brings convenience to enterprises. Guangxi Tongyi International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., Ye Guojun, said that in the past, cross-border vehicles used to travel at ports. If they hit the inspection, the company's customs declaration officers had to travel back and forth between the inspection platform and the checkpoint, arranging manual queues for goods inspection and vehicle docking, which required a lot of labor and time costs. The entire customs clearance chain required seven or eight manpower.
"After the platform was launched, we can use the vehicle queuing function to queue up and retrieve numbers on our own, which is much more convenient. This year, the customs further optimized the auxiliary inspection system. The inspected vehicles start from swiping their cards, and all information enters the system. We don't need to retrieve numbers, and the system will automatically arrange inspection parking spaces and send us text messages. We can reply on our mobile phones and queue up automatically. When inspecting, we call the next vehicle through our mobile phone. The system detects that the vehicle has left and will call the next vehicle for inspection, without the need for manual round-trip. All related business is conducted online, and there is no need to run around anymore." Ye Guojun told reporters that now enterprises only need three people to easily complete all customs clearance services. ".
The efficient and convenient customs clearance has provided peace of mind for many durian import enterprises. "Durian has a short shelf life, and the best period for consumption is when it is about to crack or has just cracked. If durian is already ripe and cracked during transportation, its taste will be greatly reduced, causing significant economic losses to the enterprise." Xu Ning from Guangxi Junyi Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. said that from the moment durian was loaded onto the vehicle, fruit companies began its "thrilling leap". Whether this leap can be successfully completed depends on time. "The Friendship Customs Port has fulfilled the promise of 24-hour customs clearance for durian, and our goods are very confident when they leave here.".
With the implementation and continuous optimization of intelligent regulatory systems, the efficiency of customs clearance at the Friendship Customs Port has significantly improved. In the first half of this year, the number of vehicles entering and exiting through the Friendship Customs Port reached 196000, a year-on-year increase of 1.8 times.
