National Bureau of Statistics: In 2022, the national revenue of cultural and related industries exceeded 16 trillion yuan
The National Bureau of Statistics announced today that in 2022, the scale of China's cultural and related industries will continue to expand, with operating income exceeding 16 trillion yuan. The overall development of the cultural and related industries is stable, and the driving force of new formats is further strengthened. The total assets, total profits, and investment scale will continue to grow.
In 2022, China's cultural industry achieved a revenue of 16550.2 billion yuan, an increase of 1.0% compared to the previous year.
In terms of industry types, the operating revenue of cultural wholesale and retail, and cultural service industries increased by 3.0% and 1.7% respectively compared to the previous year.
Looking at different fields, the operating revenue of cultural core fields and cultural related fields increased by 1.1% and 1.0% respectively compared to the previous year.
By industry category, the revenue of industries such as news and information services, cultural consumption terminal production, and content creation production increased by 4.0%, 2.6%, and 2.4% respectively compared to the previous year.
The cultural new industry has developed rapidly. In 2022, the 16 sub categories with more obvious characteristics of the cultural new industry achieved a revenue of 5010.6 billion yuan, an increase of 6.7% compared to the previous year, which is 5.7 percentage points faster than the entire cultural industry. The revenue of the cultural service industry accounted for 51.0% of the total revenue of the cultural industry, an increase from the previous year.
At the end of 2022, the total assets of China's cultural industry were 315945 billion yuan, an increase of 6.2% compared to the end of the previous year, achieving a total profit of 127.07 billion yuan, an increase of 2.8% compared to the previous year. The total amount of cultural industry assets and profits continue to grow.
In 2022, cultural enterprises above designated size invested 152.9 billion yuan in research and development, an increase of 6.4% compared to the previous year. The proportion of research and development funds to operating revenue of cultural enterprises above designated size increased compared to the previous year.
The scale of investment in the cultural industry continues to expand. In 2022, China's cultural industry fixed assets investment will increase by 7.6% over the previous year. The growth rate of fixed assets investment in three major industries, namely, cultural consumption terminal production, cultural investment and operation, and content creation and production, will exceed double digits, respectively 28.3%, 18.6%, and 11.0%.
