My embassy solemnly reminds that Ukraine has issued guidelines for responding to nuclear accidents | authorities | Ukraine
On the evening of July 4th local time, the Ukrainian Ministry of Health released a nuclear accident response guide on social media, which mainly includes:
In the event of a nuclear accident in the area, residents of the potential radiation accident area must be prepared for possible evacuation.
2. If the authorities officially declare a nuclear radiation emergency, please stay indoors or enter indoors as soon as possible.
3. Please continue to pay attention to the further announcement of the authorities and follow the instructions of the authorities.
If the authorities advise you to evacuate, please bring the following items with you:
Documents and their copies
Mask or respirator
First aid kit and one week's worth of medication
Wet tissue
Replaceable clothes and shoes
Minimal water and food
Please note: Wrap your carry on luggage tightly with cling film or tape to accelerate the purification process at the health station. If you are in a nuclear accident area, you can only leave the building after receiving relevant instructions from the authorities. Local authorities will inform the location of evacuation points and the safest travel route for self driving vehicles during evacuation.
In view of this, the embassy solemnly reminds that Ukraine is still in a state of war. Please do not come to Ukraine as a citizen. Personnel stationed in Ukraine should closely monitor the situation and the safety instructions issued by the authorities, and prepare emergency evacuation plans in advance according to relevant instructions. Do not take chances and remember to prioritize safety.
