Recently, the exterior walls of the Jinding building in the world natural heritage site of Fanjing Mountain, Guizhou, have been changed to their original colors during maintenance, attracting social attention. According to relevant videos, the exterior walls of the Shakyamuni Hall and Maitreya Hall on the Golden Summit of Mount Fanjing have been painted red, while the previous colors of these two halls were gray.
In response to this situation, the Tongren Municipal Party Committee and Government established an investigation team to investigate and verify. After investigation, the Wuling Scenic Area Management Company initiated safety repairs on the exterior walls of the Jinding Building on Fanjing Mountain without completing the necessary procedures, and changed the color of the walls without authorization, violating relevant regulations such as the Tongren Fanjing Mountain Protection Regulations. The management bureau of Fanjingshan failed to perform its duties effectively and neglected to manage relevant issues, causing serious social impact.
