For example, according to recent news from the official website of the Liangshan Financial Work Bureau, in early August, Chen Dong, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Financial Work Bureau, and his delegation went to Muli and Yanyuan to conduct work research, supervise and inspect the "mining" and rectification work of hydropower stations.
According to the news, Chen Dong and his team conducted on-site visits to the Kakiwa Power Station, Shawan Power Station, Saduo Hydropower Station, Pingweng Hydropower Station, Yanyuan County Gaizhu Power Station, Bajihe Power Station, Jiami Power Station and other hydropower stations in Muli County to carry out supervision and inspection of virtual currency mining activities during the flood season. They reviewed the virtual currency "mining" projects that have been confirmed to have been shut down and urged the townships where the hydropower stations belong to implement the responsibility system for rectifying virtual currency "mining" activities. Chen Dong promoted the relevant policies and regulations on "mining" in the province and state, requiring all townships to fully recognize the potential adverse effects of "mining" activities on energy conservation and emission reduction, financial stability, energy supply guarantee, and other aspects of Liangshan Prefecture. He actively mobilized the public to report clues of virtual currency "mining" activities. The county development, reform, and economic information bureau should monitor the electricity consumption and network flow, dynamically monitor each hydropower station, and promptly verify and handle any suspicious situations to ensure that the virtual currency "mining" in Muli and Yanyuan is normalized and cleared.
On August 29th, the website of Baoxing County Government in Ya'an City reported that Daxi Township actively carried out virtual currency mining and rectification work for the Lingxi Power Station and Daxinao Power Station in its jurisdiction. As of now, the two power stations have visited 8 times and dispatched 30 people. During the investigation process, no mining activities were found, but there were issues such as incomplete dismantling of the iron frame and incomplete cleaning of related auxiliary equipment such as distribution boxes and cables. Therefore, the township immediately urged the relevant unit leaders to carry out rectification. According to the requirements of completing one acceptance and one rectification task, both power stations in Daxi Township have completed rectification, and the relevant machine rooms, racks, transformers, distribution boxes, cables, and ancillary facilities of the power stations in the jurisdiction have been cleaned, and the relevant sites have also been cleared.
Daxi Township stated that in the future, it will continue to implement the deployment requirements of the country and province, improve the mechanism for rectifying virtual currency "mining", focus on the rectification goals, consolidate responsibilities, refine measures, and regularly carry out inspections of virtual currency "mining" activities, continuously consolidate and expand the effectiveness of virtual currency "mining" activities, and help promote the optimization of China's industrial structure, promote energy conservation and emission reduction, and achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals as scheduled.
Pengpai News noticed that in July this year, Baoxing County held a meeting to promote the rectification of virtual currency mining activities. The meeting pointed out that all townships, departments, and small hydropower enterprises in the county should fully recognize the importance of rectifying virtual currency "mining" activities, seize key links, and take effective measures to vigorously rectify, so that "mining" has no market in Baoxing.
In addition, the Development and Reform Bureau of Shimian County recently revealed during an introduction to its work that it had not completely dismantled the racks, power lines, fans, and computer rooms of the 14 home appliance stations that were found to have the original virtual currency "mining". The bureau urged its personnel to thoroughly remove and rectify the mining equipment and submit a rectification report. Through on-site verification, the 14 home appliance stations have completed the dismantling and transportation of relevant equipment and facilities.
The Development and Reform Bureau of Shimian County also said that since 2021, 48 projects have been cleaned up and rectified by means of cleaning up and rectification, on-site inspection, full coverage investigation, etc. For power stations with virtual currency "mining" behavior, according to the requirements of relevant documents, the power station has taken measures to disconnect the network and disconnect the Internet, shut down for rectification, dismantled mining machines, and investigated 28 IP addresses. A total of 42 companies and individuals involved in virtual currency mining were identified in the county, and over 126000 mining machines were found. At present, all 191 small hydropower stations in the county have completed the cleaning of virtual currency mining equipment, and no small hydropower stations with mining behavior have been found, effectively achieving zero mining behavior in asbestos.
