On August 13th, Bilibili announced that the suspension of Mo Yan's writer account was a rumor.
Station B sent a message on the WeChat official account and said that recently it had noticed that some online accounts fabricated articles such as "Mo Yan's station B account was closed". After verification, it was found that a user had previously registered under the pseudonym "Mo Yan Writer" account and moved content posted by Mo Yan himself on other social media platforms. Bilibili has permanently banned the highly imitated account and removed all infringing articles.
"We call on users and platforms to work together to maintain a clean online space and firmly oppose inappropriate words and actions such as maliciously impersonating others. In response to the deliberate fabrication and dissemination of rumors such as' Moyan Bilibili account being blocked 'on the internet, we will take corresponding legal measures in accordance with the' Regulations on the Ecological Governance of Network Information Content 'and other regulations to crack down on online rumors and protect the legitimate rights and interests of users."

On the early morning of August 13th, Mo Yan's official Weibo account responded that he had no knowledge of Bilibili and wanted to know who opened it. At present, the fake account on Bilibili has been banned, and the interface shows "This account maliciously impersonates others".
First Financial found that the humanities and arts blogger who posted this rumor has been banned on Weibo for "publishing false information that violates community conventions.".
