Ministry of Transport: companies of major online car hailing platforms and Internet road freight platforms cut the proportion by 1-3 percentage points
At today's press conference held by the Ministry of Transport, the relevant person in charge introduced the progress of activities for new forms of transportation platform enterprises to reduce excessive commission or membership fee limits.
The commission and membership fees of new forms of transportation platform enterprises are closely related to the immediate interests of practitioners. The Ministry of Transport attaches great importance to this work. Based on the implementation of the "Sunshine Action" for the commission collection of new forms of transportation platform enterprises, this year we will promote platform companies to reduce excessively high commission ratios or membership fee limits as a practical matter for people's livelihood. We will issue special work plans, clarify goals, tasks, and progress arrangements, and guide local transportation authorities to urge transportation new form platform enterprises to promote implementation work.
Through the joint efforts of all parties, as of the end of July, all major online car hailing platforms and Internet road freight platform companies have announced to reduce the proportion or membership fee ceiling. Currently, major platform companies generally have a reduction rate of 1 to 3 percentage points. In addition, various regions and relevant platform companies are actively exploring innovative ways to protect the rights and interests of practitioners. For example, exploring the establishment of mobile party branches for drivers, leveraging the leading role of industry party building, and enhancing the sense of belonging of drivers; Establish a driver care fund to provide drivers with subsidies for lost work, medical care, and elderly care; By setting up dedicated mailboxes, negotiating symposiums, conducting online and offline research, and other channels, we listen to the opinions and suggestions of frontline drivers and adjust relevant business strategies accordingly.
Next, the Ministry of Transport will continue to increase its work efforts, guide transportation departments in various regions to timely track and grasp the implementation of relevant measures, regularly dispatch new forms of transportation platform enterprises, adhere to problem orientation and goal orientation, promote orderly work, continuously consolidate and improve work results, ensure that people's livelihood is implemented, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of practitioners in the ride hailing and road freight industries.
