Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Which other country besides the United States openly supports it?, The Japanese side claims that discharging into the sea has been recognized by the United States and others
On August 29th, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin presided over a regular press conference.
A reporter asked, according to reports, the Japanese side recently stated that Japan's sea discharge measures have been recognized by the United States and other countries, which will allow China to hear the voice of the international community. What is the spokesperson's comment on this?
"There are nearly 200 countries in the world, and I don't know which other country besides the United States can Japan publicly point out that supports Japan's discharge of nuclear contaminated water," Wang Wenbin said.

Wang Wenbin pointed out that there are not many countries that openly support Japan's nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea. The vast majority of countries, including Japan, have a critical and opposing attitude towards the discharge, and have taken corresponding preventive measures. This is an undeniable fact. The Japanese side should not turn a blind eye to this, let alone deceive themselves.
Wang Wenbin emphasized that it is particularly important to point out that the discharge of nuclear contaminated water into the maritime environment and human health is not a personal matter of Japan alone, nor is it a matter for individual countries to "give the green light" for political purposes and allow unimpeded access. The Japanese approach further exposes the essence of valuing power while ignoring the international community, valuing personal interests and ignoring international public interests.
