At today's routine policy briefing held by the State Council Information Office, multiple departments jointly interpreted the 20 specific measures on restoring and expanding consumption. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Commerce stated that they will focus on key areas, promote policy implementation, carry out consumption promotion activities, and enhance the influence and driving force of the "Consumption Boosting Year" activity.
The Ministry of Commerce has designated this year as the "Consumer Boosting Year" and carried out various consumer promotion activities around 6 major themes, 12 major exhibitions, and 52 consumption scenarios. At present, the Ministry of Commerce has launched 5 major theme activities and 31 consumption scenarios, including the National Consumption Promotion Month, Green Consumption Season, and International Consumption Season. Through these activities, consumer scenarios have been expanded, a consumption atmosphere has been created, and consumption conditions have been improved.
The Ministry of Commerce stated that in response to the measures to restore and expand consumption released, the next step will be to focus on key areas, promote policy implementation in key areas such as automobile, home furnishings, and electronic product consumption, and organize corresponding activities such as home renovation consumption season, hundred city linkage automobile festival, and new energy vehicles going to rural areas in thousands of counties and towns. Deepen cross-border integration, better leverage the role of exhibitions, encourage and guide local governments to extend these exhibitions into urban events, expand food festivals, life festivals, art markets and other scenes, and facilitate the lives of the people.
Xu Xingfeng, Director of the Market Operation and Consumption Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce: We will continue to strengthen the linkage between the central and local governments, strengthen regional cooperation, mobilize associations, enterprises, institutions, e-commerce platforms and other parties to participate, achieve complementary resource advantages, and enhance the influence and driving force of the "Consumption Boosting Year" activity. In September this year, the Ministry of Commerce will jointly launch the National Golden Autumn Shopping Festival with Sichuan Province, as well as the local International Panda Consumption Festival in Sichuan, to promote the formation of a new consumption trend of "nine gold and ten silver".
