On June 6th, the Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau of Sihui City, Guangdong Province, issued a statement on the illegal construction of the second floor of Building 2, Yuegong Mansion, Wuyue Square, Sihui City
In response to public complaints about the illegal construction of the second floor of Building 2, Yuegong Mansion, Wuyue Plaza, Sihui City, the Housing and Construction Bureau of Sihui City attached great importance to it after receiving the report on May 29th, and immediately organized relevant quality and technical supervision personnel to conduct on-site inspections. After verification, it was found that there are a total of 42 apartments on the 2nd floor of Building 2, Yuegongguan, No. 125 Commercial Avenue, Yucheng Neighborhood Committee, Dongcheng Street, Sihui City, with a total construction area of 1842.64 square meters, owned by the same owner Yao. Yao used large machinery to demolish the interval wall without obtaining a construction permit, and preliminary statistics show that he has illegally constructed about 700 square meters. The Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau of Sihui City immediately issued a Notice of Order to Correct Illegal Behavior to Yao, ordering him to immediately stop construction and make corrections within a specified period of time.
On June 3rd, with the consent of the owner, the Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau of Sihui City organized experts from the Structural Department of Guangdong Academy of Building Sciences and experts from Shenzhen Tongjiren Architectural Design Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site inspections. Preliminary review determined that there are currently no structural safety issues with the building, and based on the survey results, the questions raised by the owner were answered on-site.
On June 5th, Shenzhen Tongjiren Architectural Design Co., Ltd. issued a preliminary assessment of the impact of partial wall demolition on the 2nd floor of the 2nd apartment building in Sihui Wuyue Plaza. The assessment showed that the partial wall demolition on the 2nd floor did not affect the safety of the main structure, and it was recommended that a specialized testing agency conduct a comprehensive inspection and evaluation. The Housing and Construction Bureau of Sihui City has promptly made public the relevant evaluation results to the owners, and at the same time, transferred Yao's suspected illegal behavior of unauthorized construction to the Urban Management Bureau of Sihui City for lawful and regulatory disposal.
Next, the Housing and Urban Rural Development Bureau of Sihui City will organize experts from the Guangdong Academy of Building Sciences to conduct a comprehensive inspection and evaluation of the two apartment buildings of Wuyue Square Yuegong Mansion as soon as possible. Apartments with cracks will be inspected one by one, and according to the inspection and evaluation results, they will be disposed of in accordance with laws and regulations, effectively safeguarding the safety of people's lives and property.
