Jimu News reporter learned from the People's Government of Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province that at around 9:00 am on August 9th, 11 residents of Yucheng District suddenly encountered rising water in the upper reaches of the Longxi River at the fish scale dam, causing water waders to be washed away. After receiving the alarm, the public security and fire departments immediately rushed to the scene and made every effort to search and rescue. Currently, 4 people have been rescued and 7 have died. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
