Liu Jie's unwavering commitment has always been to never delay matters that concern the masses. His father and wife both suffer from cancer, and his son is in high school and needs to be taken care of. Faced with the heavy burden of the family, he still overcomes various difficulties with responsibility and practical work, and has become one urgent and difficult task after another for the people, demonstrating the mission and responsibility of a Communist Party member.
Faced with the fierce flood situation, as the leader of Zhongmen Temple Village, Zhongmen Jiayuan Community, and Zhaojiawa Village, Liu Jie adhered to the front line, personally acted, guided and participated in the village's flood prevention work, timely promoted and mobilized, quickly identified safety hazards, and transferred a total of 274 people to avoid danger.
On the early morning of July 31st, the flood situation in Sanjiadian Village, Longquan Town was severe. Liu Jie was ordered to dispatch flood prevention and rescue work on site in the face of danger. In the morning, as the rain continues to increase, there may be new dangers in Zhongmen Jiayuan Community, Zhongmen Temple Village, and Zhaojiawa Village, and more than 300 people have not yet been transferred to safe areas. Liu Jie quickly drove to the scene to carry out mass transfer and disaster relief work. At 10:42, he drove to Zhongzhao Road, and at this time, the mountain flood gradually intensified. To remind the car owners who were preparing to move forward and the construction personnel to take refuge in a safe place immediately, he went deep into the area with severe water conditions to remind and persuade. At this moment, a sudden flash flood broke out and Liu Jie was unfortunately caught up in the rapids, rushing into the Zhongmen Temple Gully.
After a day and night of search and rescue, the body of Liu Jie was found in the Zhongmen Temple Gully on the morning of August 1st. He forever fixed his 48 year old life on the path of serving the people.
