According to a report by Urban Times on June 8th, the Judicial Case Research Institute of the Supreme People's Court released a case on June 7th: A mother in Nanjing intentionally left her biological daughter in a room isolated from the outside world for a long time, resulting in the death of two young daughters and being convicted of intentional homicide.
According to reports, Le from Nanjing, Jiangsu, was addicted to drugs and neglected to take care of his daughter. One day, he left home for several days without returning, causing his daughter Li Moujia to run out of the house alone due to hunger. She was discovered by community officials and neighbors and sent to the hospital for treatment. A few days later, Le placed the two young girls in the master bedroom of his residence, leaving a small amount of food and water. He repeatedly wrapped the window lock with a cloth strip and clamped the master bedroom door with a diaper to prevent the children from running out. Later, he left home but did not return.

During this period, Le repeatedly requested assistance funds from local authorities, which were then used for drug use and entertainment outside. More than a month later, when the community police visited Le's house, they opened the door through a locksmith and found that Li A and Li B had died in the master bedroom. According to forensic identification, the two victims have no evidence of mechanical injury or common poisoning leading to death, and it cannot be ruled out that they died due to factors such as dehydration, hunger, and illness.

The court held that Le's behavior constituted intentional homicide. Considering that Le was pregnant at the time of the trial and had a good attitude of confession after being brought to justice, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for intentional homicide and deprived of political rights for life.
