Recently, a video of a man abusing a baby circulated online. After investigation by the public security organs and relevant departments, it was preliminarily verified that Deng in Liangzhen, our city, had a conflict and argument with his cohabiting girlfriend Chen, who ran away from home.
Deng was dissatisfied with Chen for taking care of his child alone. On July 4, 2023, he repeatedly slapped his son with his hand and sent a video to Chen in an attempt to force him to go home.
After being sent to the hospital for examination, the baby who was beaten was found to be in normal physical condition and safe, and has now been properly arranged for care.
At present, the suspect Deng has been taken compulsory measures by the public security organs, and the case is being processed in accordance with the law.

In the video, the room was in chaos, with a man stepping on the bed and slapping the face of a sleeping baby dozens of times. The baby's face was noticeably red and swollen. Meanwhile, the man muttered, "Don't make noise.".
The man angrily fanned the baby. On the afternoon of July 18th, a staff member of the Women's Federation of Wuchuan City stated that they have been closely following up on this matter and are waiting for further investigation by the police. "We strongly condemn any acts of violence against young children. As a conscientious adult, we cannot understand such incidents. If it is verified that they occurred locally, we will provide assistance to the child's family."
At around 10am on July 19th, staff from the Command Center of Wuchuan Public Security Bureau told the media that after investigation, the man who committed the violence in the video was not from Wuchuan City. They can inquire with the Zhanjiang Public Security Bureau about where the man was from and where the incident occurred. The staff of Zhanjiang Public Security Bureau replied that the matter is still under investigation.
