Some people say that there are two things in the world that are the sharpest, one is a sword, and the other is a thought. In fact, thoughts are sharper than swords. On June 18, 2021, the "CPC History Exhibition 'Never forget the original intention and remember the mission'" opened. In the glass display cabinet, an original manuscript of Marx's Brussels Notes is particularly eye-catching, attracting countless people to stop and watch. In fact, many of them cannot understand the text on the manuscript, but what attracts them is a magical power, which is the power of thought. The power of thought and the charm of truth lie in making arguments for the people and seeking their well-being. Marx's lifelong pursuit revolved around one goal, which was to explore the possibility of "human liberation" from the perspective of the people. For this, he made two major theoretical contributions, namely the well-known materialist view of history and the theory of surplus value. The origins of these two theories can be found in this note. It is through the manuscripts in the exhibition cabinet that we can see the original intention and mission of communists.

For a hundred years, the CPC has always put the people at the top of its heart. People first is the "gene" of the CPC.It can be said that this is a red line that runs through this ideology, reflecting its distinct nature and value stance.

In Jiaxing, Zhejiang, there is a "15 minute Party member service circle". The specific approach is for each party member to contact several households and provide solutions for education, health, elderly care, and other issues through the work mode of "ordering" by the masses, "dispatching" by the community, "receiving" by volunteers, and "evaluating" by the masses. There are nearly 10000 party members who, through joint construction in the area, serve 500000 employees in this "China's tallest building" and nearly 70 surrounding buildings. These grassroots party organizations are like neurons in the vast nervous system, highly sensitive and able to timely capture the wishes of the masses, respond to their needs, and resolve their conflicts. Standing firmly on the people's standpoint is the principle of putting the people first.

People are not abstract symbols, but concrete individuals like us, with flesh and blood, emotions, love and hate, and dreams. Everyone has a longing for a better life. In the new era, the CPC has handed over to the people a real report card of people's livelihood. On the road to comprehensive prosperity, "no one is left behind", and nearly 100 million rural impoverished people have all been lifted out of poverty. This absolute poverty problem that has plagued the Chinese nation for thousands of years has been historically resolved. We have built the world's largest education system, with a total of 44.3 million students enrolled. In 2021, the gross enrollment rate in higher education reached 57.8%; We have built the world's largest social security system, with 1.02 billion people owning basic pension insurance and 1.36 billion people owning basic medical insurance; We have built the world's largest healthcare system, with an increase in average life expectancy from 75.4 years to 77.9 years. Caring about the well-being of the people, holding onto the lights of every household, and grasping the needs and aspirations of the people for a better life, is the principle of putting the people first.

The people are not only the "playwrights" of history, but also the "playwrights" of history. The history of the development of New China is a history of continuous innovation by the Chinese people. In the new era, we encourage grassroots and frontline individuals to boldly explore, innovate, experiment, and work.

Running errands and grinding one's mouth reflects the slow and cumbersome situation of enterprises and the public coming to the government for a period of time. In December 2016, Zhejiang Province took the lead in proposing the "maximum one run" reform, breaking the constraints of regulations and bottles, breaking through institutional barriers, and bridging the "last mile" of serving the people well. In the past, to apply for approval for the hotel industry, it was necessary to go to three departments: public security, city supervision, and fire protection, and handle three approval matters separately. The wisdom hidden by the masses in practice is the most abundant and vivid, which cannot be read in documents, heard in meetings, or imagined in offices. The methods and ideas for solving problems lie in the creative practice of the masses.
