Li Qiang Meets with President Steinmeier of Germany | Germany | Li Qiang
On the morning of June 19th local time, Premier Li Qiang met with German President Steinmeier at the Presidential Palace in Berlin.
China has always attached great importance to Sino German relations. My visit to Germany this time and co hosting the seventh round of government consultations with Prime Minister Scholz are aimed at implementing the consensus of the two heads of state, continuously increasing trust and resolving doubts, exploring new opportunities for bilateral cooperation, enriching the connotation of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Germany, and helping the development of both countries and global economic recovery.
Li Qiang pointed out that there is no fundamental conflict of interests between China and Germany, the foundation of cooperation is solid, and the driving force for development is strong. We are full of confidence in the prospects of Sino German cooperation. China has always supported open cooperation, believing that the biggest risk is non cooperation and the biggest security risk is non development. China is willing to work with Germany to adhere to peaceful development and cooperation, play a constructive role in global stability and prosperity, and provide more certainty for the ever-changing world. China's development is a positive contribution to the world and an important opportunity for all countries.
The German side opposes decoupling and any form of camp confrontation. It is willing to strengthen communication with China and work together to promote world peace and development.
Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern, such as the Ukraine crisis.
Wu Zhenglong and others attended the meeting.
