Let more precise services benefit new business entities (talking about new rural areas)
In response to the actual needs of new agricultural management entities, we will build service platforms, innovate service mechanisms, gather development factors, better play their leading role in promoting modern agriculture, solve the problem of "who will cultivate land", and drive small farmers to jointly develop on the road of agricultural modernization
"What are the good varieties of tomatoes?" "What new products can rapeseed develop?" "How should insurance be applied when growing vegetables?"... Recently, at the Xingnong Service Day event held in Nanjing, Jiangsu, the participating new agricultural operators, relevant departments, and research institutes discussed and not only found answers to their own concerns, but also received continuous tracking services.
Compared to the individual operation of small farmers, new types of agricultural management entities such as family farms, farmer professional cooperatives, agricultural leading enterprises, and agricultural socialized service organizations have a larger scale of operation, more vitality, and stronger development strength. In recent years, with the continuous introduction of relevant support policies and increasing investment in funds, various new entities have shown a vigorous development trend. According to statistics, there are currently 3.914 million family farms, 2.222 million farmer professional cooperatives, and more than 90000 leading agricultural industrialization enterprises at or above the county level in China. The stable development and innovative models of these new agricultural management entities not only promote the accelerated application of new varieties, technologies, and equipment in agricultural production, but also play an important role in solving the problem of "who will cultivate land", promoting the prosperity of rural industries, and driving the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture. Based solely on their driving capabilities, these business entities have radiated and driven over 120 million small farmers.
Although various new agricultural management entities have advantages in scale and strength, they still face urgent problems that need to be solved. From the perspective of their own development, they not only have to deal with the problems of natural and market risks like small farmers, but also have a stronger demand for infrastructure conditions, advanced business philosophy, timely market information, awesome human resources support, and adequate financial and technical services. They urgently need more powerful policy support and precise services to promote high-quality development.
A strong country must first strengthen agriculture, and only by strengthening agriculture can the country be strong. Building a strong modern agricultural management system is a major practical need for China's agricultural development to adapt to the rapid development of industrialization, informatization, and urbanization. It is also an inevitable requirement for promoting high-quality agricultural development in China, and an important task for comprehensively promoting rural revitalization and accelerating the construction of an agricultural power. In the coming period, a large number of small farmers will still be the basic agricultural situation in China. To accelerate the construction of an agricultural power with Chinese characteristics, we need to rely on a dual level management system to take the path of moderate scale operation and accelerate the cultivation and growth of new agricultural management entities.
How to better assist the development and growth of various new agricultural management entities, and provide them with the necessary expectations? The Nanjing Agricultural Service Day event has made beneficial explorations. To truly make the new agricultural management entities the main force, we need to build service platforms based on their actual needs, gather development factors, and serve as the pulse for the industry and relieve worries for the entities. At the same time, we need to innovate service mechanisms, expand service coverage, make services more sustainable, and enable new business entities to continue to benefit. I hope to have more tangible services to assist various new agricultural management entities in high-quality development, drive farmers of all sizes to benefit from agricultural management, and provide surging momentum for agricultural and rural development.
