Previously, Lei Wuze told Jimu News reporters that he had received news from the police that he had found a young man suspected of his son Chuanchuan in Guangdong and completed the first DNA comparison. After his son Chuanchuan was abducted at the age of 3, the family of Lei Wuze has been struggling for 22 years and finally has their dream come true.

53 year old Lei Wuze is from Sichuan, and his wife Tong Chang'e is from Yueyang, Hunan. In 2001, the couple rented a cargo transfer station near Yueyang Old Railway Station with their 3-year-old son Lei Yuechuan. On the morning of October 9th that year, Chuanchuan was taken out to play by a female neighbor, but was abducted by someone.
Over the past 22 years, parents of Chuanchuan have traveled across most of China in search of their children's whereabouts. Ten years ago, a CCTV documentary told the story of their search for children. In the search circle, Lei Wuze is known as "Lei Gong" due to his eyebrows standing on his left.

On June 20th, Jimu News reporter learned from Lei Wuze that he had just received news from the local police that he had found a man highly suspected of his son and was currently conducting further DNA checks on both sides. On the night of June 23rd, Lei Wuze told Jimu News reporters that he had received news from the Yueyang police in Hunan Province that his second DNA match was successful, and his son Chuanchuan had finally been found.
Lei Wuze said that he and his wife have not yet contacted Chuanchuan. He only knows that Chuanchuan's household registration is in Shantou and he works in Shenzhen. He is willing to give the child some time to accept, but he cannot conceal his anxiety.
"In the past, there was no hope or fear to find the child, but now it has been found, and my heart is filled with sweet anticipation and waiting." Lei Wuze said, having made many plans for the child to return home and reunite. As Chuanchuan was born on the 13th day of the third lunar month in 1998, he planned to prepare 1998 servings of peanuts and ordered 313 servings of over 10000 buns from Sun Haiyang, as well as 520 servings of wedding candies, to share with friends from all walks of life at the reunion banquet.
On June 24th, Lei Wuze rushed from Changsha, Hunan to Shenzhen to inquire about the child's situation with the police, and agreed on matters such as family recognition and reunion.
