This year, the country has launched a new round of action to increase grain production capacity by billions of kilograms. As a major agricultural province, Heilongjiang focuses on technology empowerment to increase grain production. At present, during the critical period of field management, what are the remaining problems? The Heilongjiang Agriculture and Rural Department formed a working group to conduct field research and visits. The staff found that although there are currently 6000 monitoring points for diseases and pests in the province, during the high incidence period of diseases and pests, there are still problems such as insufficient prevention and control professionals and outdated dry field plant protection machinery in some areas.

The working group also conducted in-depth research in agricultural science institutes, seed production enterprises, and found problems such as relatively insufficient R&D investment and insufficient innovation in breeding. In response to this situation, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will take measures to guide the aggregation of resources, technology, talent, capital and other factors, and fill the gaps.

This year, Heilongjiang Province strives to maintain a technology completion rate of over 95% in the province, create 140 agricultural science and technology demonstration bases, further implement the plan to increase grain production by 10 million tons, and build a "ballast stone" for national food security.
