According to TASS on August 1st, Turkmenistan Airlines announced on its official website that it will suspend flights from Ashgabat to Moscow from August 1st.
The notice states, "We inform you that due to the situation in Moscow's airspace and based on a risk assessment conducted to ensure flight safety, Turkmenistan Airlines has decided to suspend all flights between Ashgabat and Moscow from August 1, 2023, and will operate round-trip flights between Ashgabat and Kazan."
The ticketing staff of the company told TASS reporters that there will be no flights to Moscow until August 22nd. At present, two airlines - Turkmenistan Airlines and S7- operate routes from Turkmenistan to Russia, with destinations in Moscow and Kazan. Meanwhile, S7 is still selling tickets to Moscow for August.
The Russian Sputnik News Agency previously reported that due to the recent Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, some departure and arrival flights at Moscow's Vnukovo Airport were delayed.
