Lan Ting Observation | Seeing is True | Embassy in China Exposes Lies Related to Xinjiang, such as "Forced Labor" | Xinjiang | Related to Xinjiang
For a period of time, a small number of Western countries, led by the United States, have hyped up the so-called "forced labor" problem in Xinjiang and taken the opportunity to indiscriminately implement illegal unilateral coercive measures.
At present, more than 20% of global cotton is produced in Xinjiang, and the cotton planting industry in Xinjiang has basically achieved full process mechanized production. Taking Shaya County in Kuqa City as an example, last year, 1.94 million acres of cotton were planted here, and over 90% of them achieved mechanical harvesting. Adili Abulizi, a member of the Nurbage Township Party Committee in Shaya County, introduced that compared to manual picking in the past, mechanization can reduce the labor cost per acre by 600 yuan. Moreover, farmers who purchase agricultural machinery will receive subsidies from the government, which can be recouped within about three years.
Counselor Kamran Taji of the Pakistani Embassy in China told Blue Hall Observer that he witnessed a significant increase in cotton production through the use of cotton pickers and effectively improved the lives of ordinary people during his visit. He believes that the reason why the West fabricates the so-called "forced labor" lies is based on the entire geopolitical game. He emphasized that he would not believe any such lies.
Not only cotton, but also in Xinjiang, the machine harvesting rate for processing tomatoes has exceeded 90%. Large scale mechanized harvesting scenarios are not uncommon in Xinjiang. However, Western countries such as the United States are not concerned about these facts.
On the 1st of this month, the US once again included some Chinese companies in the relevant entity list under the pretext of "forced labor". In this regard, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and other departments have stated that there is no such thing as "forced labor" in Xinjiang. The essence of the US approach is to undermine the prosperity and stability of Xinjiang and curb China's development.
In response, Dominic Ambassador to China Martin Charles stated that he did not see any so-called "forced labor" in Xinjiang. Instead, he saw happy and peaceful people and communities. The local agricultural machinery has greatly reduced the required labor force. Some countries are trying to use so-called "forced labor" to curb China's development, but they believe it is futile because China's train has already started and its development is difficult to stop. Moreover, while achieving its own development, China also hopes to drive progress with other countries, which is a good thing. He also expressed his pleasure to have the opportunity to come to Xinjiang and experience it firsthand, and to share his observations with friends and the international community.
"Forced labor" is not the only Xinjiang related lie fabricated by the West. They are also enthusiastic about fabricating false information, smearing Xinjiang's religious and cultural protection, as well as counter-terrorism and de radicalization efforts.
Samoa's Ambassador to China, Luamanuwe Marina, told Blue Hall Observer that he is pleased to see the Chinese government's investment in the development of Xinjiang, especially for the Uyghur people, during this visit. He saw many Uyghur women and children, and they were very happy. He pointed out that if anyone wants to blame China for the Xinjiang issue, they should come to Xinjiang to take a look, chat with the people here, feel the culture here, and experience the environment here. The fact will tell them that what they see and hear is completely different from the reports of Western media.
In response to some Western countries and media attempting to distort or even smear China's efforts in counter-terrorism and de radicalization, Nicaragua's Ambassador to China, Michael Rene Campbell Oak, emphasized that such actions must be condemned and must be immediately stopped. No country in the world can accept terrorism and extremism within its borders. It is China's right to combat terrorism and extremism in accordance with the law in order to better safeguard the well-being of all ethnic groups.
