Kim Jong un, General Secretary and State Councilor of the Workers' Party of Korea, Meets with Lee Hung chung, General Secretary of the Korean Party
Starting from July 26th, Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, was invited to lead a Chinese party and government delegation to visit North Korea. During this time, Kim Jong un, General Secretary and State Councilor of the Workers' Party of Korea, met with Lee Hung chung in Pyongyang.
No matter how the international situation changes, maintaining, consolidating, and developing China North Korea relations is always the unwavering policy of the Chinese Party and government.
China is willing to work with North Korea to implement the important consensus reached by the highest leaders of the two parties and countries, strengthen communication and exchanges, promote practical cooperation, promote the healthy and stable development of China North Korea relations, and make positive contributions to maintaining peace and stability on the peninsula and the region.
The North Korean side is willing to consolidate traditional friendship with the Chinese side, strengthen exchanges and cooperation, promote North Korea China relations to a higher level, and jointly maintain regional peace and stability as well as the common interests of both sides.
During the visit, Li Hongzhong also met with North Korean leaders such as Choi Long hai, attended the 70th anniversary commemoration of the ceasefire in the Korean War, visited the China North Korea Friendship Tower, and went to Huicang to pay respects to the Chinese People's Volunteer Army Martyrs Cemetery.
