China News Network, Khorgos, Xinjiang, August 14 (Xinhua) Since this year, the export of commodity vehicles at Khorgos port in Xinjiang has been growing rapidly. According to the data of Khorgos Entry Exit Border Inspection Station, as of August 14, 60200 commercial vehicles had been exported through Khorgos Highway Port this year, up 115.9% year on year, becoming a new highlight of Xinjiang's foreign trade.
On the 14th, the reporter saw at the Khorgos Highway Port that the commercial vehicles waiting for customs clearance were orderly and quickly cleared. According to reports, these domestic vehicles come from Shanghai, Shandong, Shaanxi, Henan and other places, including forklifts, passenger cars, dump trucks, second-hand new energy vehicles, etc., and are mainly sent to Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and other countries along the "the Belt and Road".
Zhao Zhongjuan, general manager of Khorgos Yimei International Trade Co., Ltd., said: "Now is the peak time for export of commodity cars at ports. With the increase of customs clearance, our benefits are getting better and better. Now we export more than 100 commodity cars every day on average. So far, we have exported more than 4000 commodity cars this year, with a trade volume of 150 million dollars."
In order to ensure the safe and efficient customs clearance of vehicles, the Khorgos government coordinated the border inspection, customs and other functional units to work closely to solve the blocking points and difficulties in customs clearance in a timely manner, visited the joint inspection units and relevant enterprises many times, grasped the number and information of vehicles to be exported in advance, and coordinated the border inspection departments of Kazakhstan to solve the difficulties and problems in the customs clearance process through the border inspection meeting mechanism, effectively reducing the queuing time of vehicles.
"In order to better serve and ensure the clearance of vehicles, on the premise of ensuring safety, I streamlined the inspection process, consolidated the inspection links, and worked jointly with customs and other port joint inspection units, so that each driver can complete the exit and entry formalities only once, which greatly improved the efficiency of customs clearance." Ma Jie, deputy leader of the fourth team on duty at the Khorgos Entry Exit Border Inspection Station, said.
