Just to be honest, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Japanese officials mentioned "polluted water"
On September 1st, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin presided over a regular press conference.
A reporter asked, according to reports, on August 31st, Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Tetsuro Nomura, was ordered by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida to immediately withdraw and apologize for using "contaminated water" instead of the commonly used "treated water" in Fukushima nuclear contaminated water. What is China's comment on this?
Wang Wenbin stated that the Japanese government ignored strong opposition from the international community and forcibly initiated the discharge of contaminated water from Fukushima nuclear power into the sea, which is extremely selfish and irresponsible. The term "treating water" disregards objective facts and is nothing more than Japan's attempt to downplay and cover up the harm of nuclear contaminated water being discharged into the sea, misleading the public and international public opinion.
Wang Wenbin pointed out that Japanese officials mentioning "polluted water" are just telling the truth. Is it not the wrong decision of Japan to forcibly discharge nuclear contaminated water into the sea that Japan should truly withdraw? Is it not the selfish act of transferring the risk of nuclear pollution to the world that Japan should truly apologize for?
