At 19:00 in the evening, medical staff were busy in an orderly manner in the spinal joint surgery and hand and foot surgery wards on the tenth floor of the inpatient department of the First People's Hospital of Pingyuan County. Zhang Xiuyu, a villager from Xiaojiapai Village in Wangdagua Town, was injured in her left foot by a falling iron pipe in her yard after the earthquake. She was taken to the hospital by a neighbor and underwent surgery immediately. In the same room, Ms. Liu, a foreign businessman from Weihai, suffered a waist injury while taking refuge. Ms. Gao, the person in charge of her hotel, urgently called "120" to take her to the hospital and has been accompanying her in the ward.
At 23:00, in the darkness, the First People's Hospital of Pingyuan County appeared peaceful. According to the relevant person in charge of the hospital, after the earthquake, the hospital immediately activated the emergency system of the trauma center, and deployed 10 multidisciplinary physicians to support the emergency department for multiple composite injuries. Among the 23 patients treated after the earthquake, the oldest was 92 years old and the youngest was 17 years old. At present, 13 patients have improved and left the hospital after treatment. The overall condition of 10 patients in the inpatient department is stable, and there are no critically ill patients.
