Jilin Yushu Disaster stricken Villages Carry out Drinking Water Quality Testing to Ensure Safe Drinking Water for Returning Residents
CCTV News: In Yushu, Jilin, as the flood recedes, displaced people are gradually returning to the village. Starting from August 9th, local disease control departments will conduct drinking water quality testing in various villages to ensure the safety of drinking water for returning residents.
Yanhe Township in Yushu City is adjacent to the Lalin River, and the average water depth of local houses is nearly 1 meter, making it one of the areas with more severe disaster situations. The disease control personnel first arrived at the water supply pump room in Longhe Village, which is the source of drinking water for the whole township of Yanhe Township. According to the operating standards, the disease control personnel began sampling.
Subsequently, the disease control personnel entered the village and randomly sampled 7 residents.
It is understood that on August 9th, Yushu disease control personnel conducted testing at a total of 16 locations in the affected areas. At the same time, for individual villagers who have their own water wells, disease control personnel will also take samples and inspect them one by one to ensure that no household is missed.
