Japanese media: The United States, Japan, and Australia plan to send multiple warships for joint military exercises in the South China Sea. Military | Carrier based aircraft | Plan
On the 18th, Kyodo News Agency quoted several military and defense related sources as saying that it is understood that the United States is expected to send the amphibious assault ship "America", the Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force will send the frigate "Izumo", and Australia will participate in military exercises with the amphibious assault ship "Canberra".
The "Chuyun" is expected to arrive at Manila Port next Friday, while the "Canberra" and "America" are also expected to enter the port around this time.
According to the plan, Japan, the United States, and Australia will implement training for carrier based aircraft to take off and land on each other's decks. The Philippines will not participate in this training, reportedly due to the large size of other ships' aircraft, which makes it impossible for the Philippine warship deck to accommodate more warships.
