The statement states that the process of releasing billions of dollars in frozen assets from Iran has begun. Affected by US sanctions, these assets have been frozen by South Korea for many years, and Iran has now obtained the necessary guarantees from the United States to release these funds.
The statement also pointed out that in addition to releasing seized financial resources, protecting the rights of Iranian people around the world is one of the inherent responsibilities of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In this context, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been committed to the issue of releasing Iranian prisoners detained in other countries.
