On June 27th local time, Indonesian Air Force official Alfi Andi stated that in the plane crash that occurred in the town of Ellelim in Papua Province on the morning of the 23rd, no one survived on board. At present, search and rescue personnel are carrying out cleaning work at the accident site.
Previously, Indonesian police reported that at 8:00 am on the 23rd, a plane crashed in the town of Elelim in Papua Province, Indonesia, with a total of 6 people on board, including 4 passengers and 2 pilots. Due to the location of the crash in a mountainous forest and the harsh weather, rescue efforts were hindered. It was not until the 24th that rescue personnel began a comprehensive search and rescue operation in the forest area.
It is understood that the crashed plane came from SAM Airlines, and at the time of the accident, the plane was flying from Elelim Airport in Papua Province to Iraga Airport. The plane lost contact 7 minutes after takeoff.
