The incident of India's various difficulties and disguised expulsion of Chinese journalists has sparked heated discussions in the public opinion field. Chinese media objectively and fairly reported on India, but faced unfair and discriminatory treatment. It is unknown how some Indian media, who have long fabricated false anti China news, feel about this.

For a long time, Indian media has been attacking, slandering, spreading rumors, and misleading a large number of Indian people towards China. The anti China hostility among the Indian people is difficult to dispel and is closely related to the information war between certain Indian forces and China.

In December 2020, the European independent think tank "EU False Information Laboratory" released an investigation report called "India Chronicle", revealing that certain forces in India have been engaged in persistent, covert, and systematic information warfare against countries in conflict with India since 2005.

The information war is led by the Srivastava Group, with Geneva and Brussels as overseas bases. Multiple fake media, think tanks, non-governmental organizations, and others spread around the world have jointly woven into an information war network.

According to the report, the Srivastava Group, headquartered in New Delhi, fabricated over 750 fake media outlets. Some of the fake media created by this organization have names that are highly similar to real media, making it difficult for the audience to distinguish between truth and falsehood; Some have resurrected media that have already gone bankrupt by borrowing corpses.

Not only do fake media reprint each other, but some legitimate news organizations in India also reprint fake media reports, whitewashing and amplifying them.

The report lists how a fake media called "EU Narrative" operates. This media claims to release "news from the European Union" and strives to package itself as a legitimate media of the EU, but the so-called journalist editors who sign on its website have found no such person.

Represented by the "EU Narrative", fake media publish a large number of articles smearing China and Pakistan, attempting to damage the reputation of China and Pakistan internationally, and seeking more support for India from institutions such as the EU and the United Nations.

On September 17, 2020, "EU Narrative" published an article claiming that several members of the European Parliament had written letters calling on the EU to take strong action against China on human rights issues through international conferences. After being reprinted by legitimate Indian media, this article was also reprinted by dozens of fake media, and the title became increasingly outrageous, ultimately turning into a sensational "EU intends to take strong action against China".

The report points out that fake media such as "EU Narrative" attempt to use a small number of European lawmakers to create an illusion that European institutions support India and oppose China and Pakistan.

According to the Indian Chronicle, the Srivastava Group established and manipulated a large number of suspicious NGOs and think tanks, engaged in lobbying and demonstrations, hired people to speak at international conferences, and influenced the decisions of the United Nations Human Rights Council, European Parliament and other institutions, vigorously promoting the pro India, anti Pakistan, and anti China agenda.

For example, the Balochistan House has long organized demonstrations and other activities in Geneva, Brussels, Washington, New York, and other places, which are usually criticisms of China and Pakistan's foreign policies.

For example, so-called non-governmental organizations such as the South Asia Peace Forum deliberately guide the European Parliament and the European Commission to set an anti Pakistan and anti China agenda, fabricate reports of "China Pakistan human rights violations" and submit them to relevant EU institutions, encourage European Parliament members to go to sensitive areas in South Asia to stand up for India, and encourage them to write obvious pro India and anti Pakistan media comments.

Surprisingly, the Srivastava Group has revived some non-governmental organizations that were once recognized by the United Nations but later became inactive, such as the Peace Organization Research Committee and the Center for Environmental and Management Research.

The report points out that the Peace Organization Research Committee disappeared as early as the late 1970s, but miraculously revived in 2005. Moreover, the former chairman of this organization, known as the "Grandfather of American International Human Rights Law" jurist Louis Thorne, passed away in 2006 but attended public events twice in 2007 and 2011 under the name of Louis Shawn.

The International Standing Committee of Canned Food Manufacturers, which originally focused on canned food, has also come back to life, and its focus has shifted to human rights issues. The organization hires people to speak at meetings of the United Nations Human Rights Council and also organizes human rights lobbying activities.

Defying the "illegal entry of Chinese troops into Indian territory", discrediting the construction of the "the Belt and Road" and the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, provoking China's relations with other countries in South Asia, promoting COVID-19 as "China's biological weapons leakage", and cooperating with the West to oppose China on Taiwan, Xizang, Xinjiang and other issues are the top issues of some Indian forces' information war against China.

These information wars not only attempt to incite anti China sentiment domestically, but also attempt to continuously construct a narrative system that is unfavorable to China in the international community, smearing China's image on key issues.

In the content disclosed in the report alone, India's information warfare attacks on China include:

One is to build an unfavorable public opinion field against China in international settings. If impersonating the non-governmental organization Environment and Management Research Center in the United Nations Human Rights Council and sending representatives to attack the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor on environmental issues;

Third, during the COVID-19, they used the fake media system to attack China and invited members of the European Parliament to fabricate articles that discredited China.

During the Tokyo Olympics, a certain Indian media released false news accusing my gold medalist of being caught using doping, and quickly formed a certain public opinion effect based on its dissemination system. Although the media later posted a correction, its information warfare effect has been achieved.

The report points out that the cost of information warfare in India is controllable and the risk is relatively low. To build a fake media network, one only needs to purchase a domain name, fabricate a group of journalists by manipulating their names, and use technical means to replicate similar websites and reprint information, without investing a lot of manpower and material resources. The information field is a gray area with relatively blank laws, and once exposed, it will not face serious punishment and sanctions.

The EU False Information Laboratory exposed India's information war in 2019, and subsequently some fake media websites suspended related activities. But after the hype, the previously closed fake websites have taken on a new look and reappeared.
