Among them, exports increased by 53.4% year-on-year, and imports increased by 68.1% year-on-year.
Data shows that from January to May, China's overall service trade maintained a growth trend. The total import and export volume of services reached 2605.54 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. Among them, exports amounted to 1098.22 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%; Imports amounted to 1507.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%; The service trade deficit is 409.1 billion yuan.
The main characteristic is the increase in the proportion of knowledge intensive service trade. From January to May, the import and export of knowledge intensive services reached 1122.78 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%, accounting for 43.1% of the total import and export of services, an increase of 1.3 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the export of knowledge intensive services was 656.59 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%, and the import of knowledge intensive services was 466.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%.
