CCTV News: The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced today that the China Commodity Index for May was 100.7%, up 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, achieving a rebound from the decline.
Specifically, in May, the commodity supply index was 102.1%, an increase of 1.6 percentage points from the previous month, still in an upward trend, indicating that with the gradual recovery of production enterprise operating rates and an overall increase in commodity production, the overall supply of domestic commodities is still growing.

From the perspective of major commodities, except for a decrease in steel supply, all other varieties have shown a growth trend. Among them, the coal market supply increased significantly. In May, the coal supply index rose to the highest level since August 2020. From the perspective of transportation, the relevant coal transportation routes have completed spring maintenance, and the Datong to Qinhuangdao line has also maintained full load transportation. The coal transportation capacity is sufficient, and the transportation is relatively guaranteed.
From the sales of major commodities, sales of non-ferrous metals, chemicals, and automobiles continue to grow, and the growth rate is accelerating. Sales of finished oil products are also continuing to increase.
