Implementing the Global Development Initiative to Promote the Development of the Marine Economy | Country | Global
The 2023 Marine Economy High Quality Development Training Course was recently held in Xiamen, Fujian Province. This training course is the first offline training held since the establishment of the Innovation Training Base of the Global Development Promotion Center of the National Agency for International Development Cooperation. A total of 30 senior government officials from 26 countries in the field of marine development participated.
During the 8-day period, the training course offered characteristic courses such as coastal zone comprehensive management technology and marine biotechnology development, and led students to visit local institutions and enterprises on site. Students have expressed that the development of China's marine economy is at the forefront of the world, and this training can better learn from China's successful experience.
Kamara, Director of the National Fisheries Research Center of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Economy of Guinea, said, "In recent years, Guinea has actively developed its fisheries. Through training, I have learned about China's advanced knowledge and technology in aquaculture, processing, and circulation. I will bring what I have learned back to my country, actively expand cooperation with China, and promote the development of Guinea's marine economy."
During a visit to a fishery technology enterprise, Delme, Director of the Fisheries Development Direction of the Algerian Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, noticed that China has many advanced fishery equipment. "Algeria is currently in a critical period of transition from traditional fishing to modern fishing, and we need to rely on advanced technology to commercialize our products. This training is very timely, and we hope to use this as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Algeria and China in areas such as talent and materials." Del Me said.
The Innovation Training Base of the Global Development Promotion Center of the National Agency for International Development Cooperation was established based on the Innovation Base of the BRICS New Industrial Revolution Partnership. It was officially established on January 16 this year and is an important platform for the Global Development Promotion Center to implement global development initiatives through human resource training. As of now, the base has successfully held four online training sessions on "Entering the Chinese Market", benefiting more than 30 countries within the "Global Development Initiative Friends Group". It is reported that the Base will also launch "China Experience in Rural Construction and Global Sustainable Development Seminar", "Cross border Digital Marketing - Brand and Product Sailing Talents Seminar" and other trainings on the theme of industrial Internet, rural revitalization, etc.
