I am very pleased to meet with our Chinese partners. Bill Gates: has landed in Beijing, China | Global | Partners
On the evening of June 14th, Bill Gates posted on his official Weibo account:
I just landed in Beijing, this is my first visit since 2019. The Gates Foundation has been collaborating with Chinese partners to address global health and development challenges for over 15 years. I am very happy to meet my Chinese partners. The world has made tremendous progress in reducing child deaths and poverty, but the global crisis has hindered these progress. African countries are particularly vulnerable to high food prices, heavy debt and the increasing incidence rate of tuberculosis and malaria. That's also why I'm going to visit West Africa next. To address issues such as climate change, health inequality, and food security, we need innovation. From developing new antimalarial drugs to investing in climate adaptive solutions, China has a wealth of experience in these areas. We need to help more people around the world achieve such development.
