I am in Shenzhen, China, which is a fertile ground for entrepreneurship and a new era full of opportunities
Guan Daowen from Denmark has been living and working in China for more than 30 years, witnessing firsthand the tremendous changes that China has undergone under the reform and opening up policy in the past few decades.
"China has gone through tremendous changes from being a country primarily focused on agriculture to now possessing numerous advanced technologies and efficient systems, providing so many people across the country with the opportunity to live a higher quality of life, enjoy better education and development opportunities," Guan Daowen said.
In his view, Shenzhen is a pioneering city that can actively embrace change and provide a good entrepreneurial environment for entrepreneurs and designers with aspirations. This is also the main reason why he chose to establish a design college at Southern University of Science and Technology.
"Shenzhen is a pilot zone and a place full of opportunities. Therefore, starting a new business in Shenzhen is a very good choice," he said.
