Hua Chunying has issued consecutive articles condemning the US side! Citizen | China | US side
In response to the arrest and prosecution of Chinese citizens and enterprises by the United States over fentanyl related issues, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister and spokesperson Hua Chunying has repeatedly posted on international social media from the evening of the 24th to noon today, stating that the United States has used "phishing law enforcement" to lure Chinese citizens in third countries, which is a typical form of arbitrary detention and unilateral sanctions. Finding a scapegoat cannot solve America's own drug problem. The US should immediately lift the sanctions against China's drug law enforcement agencies, stop implementing reward based arrests and arbitrary detention, and immediately release Chinese citizens who have been illegally arrested.
Hua Chunying posted that the United States accounts for 5% of the world's population, but consumes 80% of the world's opioid drugs, and there is currently no formal classification of fentanyl like substances. Isn't what the United States should do to fully reduce domestic drug demand and protect its citizens through laws and education? Does the US really believe that shifting conflicts, blaming others, and tarnishing China's image can solve its domestic problems?
Hua Chunying also questioned the US side that gun violence, like drug problems, takes away many lives. Why is it that even though over 40000 Americans are shot every year, the United States has not implemented gun control measures? Why does the US government not sanction arms dealers who manufacture and sell firearms? At the same time, why did the US Congress pass a resolution accusing China of trying American drug dealer Mark Sweeden, who hid 60 kilograms of methamphetamine, enough to kill 30000 people.
