How does Belarus arrange Wagner? Lukashenko has penetrated Belarus | No | Lukashenko
According to Belarusian news agency on June 27th, Belarusian President Lukashenko confirmed that the head of the Wagner Group, Prigoren, is currently in Belarus.
Lukashenko said at the senior officer award ceremony on the 27th, "Security is guaranteed... Yes, he is indeed in Belarus now. I promised him that if you want to stay with us for a while, we will help. Of course, they will have to pay the bill."
According to reports, Lukashenko stated that Belarus has not built a camp for the Wagner Group. He said, "If they need it, we will make arrangements... but currently they are still in Luhansk, stationed in their own camp. Yesterday, Prigoren called me and said that someone will sign a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. But most importantly, the brothers have not returned home for six months or a year. I have discussed with Putin and he will not touch them. He promised to fulfill his promise."
Lukashenko said that Belarus will not set up recruitment points for the Wagner Group. He said, "If anyone wants to serve in the Wagner Group... for example, there is a Wagner commander named Dima there, who is Belarusian and a retired soldier. We won't arrest him. We can't stop anyone. There's a lot of money there, if you want to go... but you have to think clearly, you have to sleep with the Grim Reaper every day, sleeping with a gun under your pillow."
He said, "So, we don't need to set up any recruitment points for Wagner. I don't think we will ever set them up in the future... If anyone wants to work there, they will find their own way."
Belarusian news agency also reported that Lukashenko revealed that most of the Russian nuclear weapons planned to be deployed in Belarus have been in place, but the nuclear weapons will not be protected by Wagner.
Lukashenko said, "Poles and some others believe that the Wagner Group will be responsible for protecting nuclear weapons. Wagner will not protect any nuclear weapons... protected by Russian and Belarusian soldiers."
According to reports, Lukashenko said, "Nowadays, many people are talking about 'Wagner, Wagner, Wagner'. We don't know, but we are also very pragmatic about this matter. If their commanders come here to help us and impart experience... you know, they are on the front line and the main attacking force. They will tell us what is most important. They will talk about weapons: what weapons are useful and what are not. They will also talk about tactics, equipment, how to attack, how to defend. These are priceless treasures. This is exactly what we need to learn from Wagner's troops."
Lukashenko emphasized, "There's nothing to be afraid of them. We've raised our vigilance."
