How can archaeology and heritage protection help promote cultural exchange and mutual learning in China? Silk Road | China | Heritage
The Silk Road is a path of integration, exchange, and dialogue between the East and the West, and has made tremendous contributions to the common prosperity of human civilization for over two thousand years. In 2006, China and the five Central Asian countries jointly launched a series of cross-border World Heritage applications for the Silk Road. In 2014, the Silk Road project was listed in the The World Heritage List, becoming the 33rd world cultural heritage in China. As a trade, dialogue, peace, and development path with global influence, the cross-border joint application for the Silk Road has further enhanced the traditional friendship between China and Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, becoming a new link for peaceful dialogue and common development between China and Central Asian countries in the new era.
